quick apple pie

Ingredients

  • pastry =
  • 50g butter
  • cinnamin ( optional )
  • 100g plain flour
  • 2 tbsp
  • filling =
  • 1 bramble apple
  • cinnamin ( optional )
  • caster sugar
  • topping =
  • 1 egg
  • caster sugar

Instructions

  1. 1. pre heat the oven to 190

  2. 2. put the butter and the flour into a glass bowl and mix with your fingers till it looks like breadcrumbs.

  3. 3. then add 2tbsp of water and mix with a knife intill it sticks togther to make a dough

  4. 4. sprinkle some flour onto a worktop and knead the dough then roll it into a thin pastry put into a pie dish and leave the rest for the lid of the pie

  5. 5. now peal the bramble apple and cut into peices then place into the pie gently and sprinkle caster sugar over the top

  6. 6. then place the lid on the pie be carefull to press round the edges to make sure it is sealed put a few holes in the lid

  7. 7. now crack a egg into a bowl and beat the egg then spread over the top of your pie after that gently dust the surface of the pie in more caster sugar

  8. 8. put in the oven for 45 mins always alow pies to cook for longer so check it and then you may want to put it in for another 10 – 15 mins

  9. 9. take pie out of the pie dish and leave to cool on a cooling rack for 10-15 mins

  10. 10. put on plates and enjoy can be served with cream
