Step 1:

  • 1. pre heat the oven to 190
  • Step 2:

  • 2. put the butter and the flour into a glass bowl and mix with your fingers till it looks like breadcrumbs.
  • Step 3:

  • 3. then add 2tbsp of water and mix with a knife intill it sticks togther to make a dough
  • Step 4:

  • 4. sprinkle some flour onto a worktop and knead the dough then roll it into a thin pastry put into a pie dish and leave the rest for the lid of the pie
  • Step 5:

  • 5. now peal the bramble apple and cut into peices then place into the pie gently and sprinkle caster sugar over the top
  • Step 6:

  • 6. then place the lid on the pie be carefull to press round the edges to make sure it is sealed put a few holes in the lid
  • Step 7:

  • 7. now crack a egg into a bowl and beat the egg then spread over the top of your pie after that gently dust the surface of the pie in more caster sugar
  • Step 8:

  • 8. put in the oven for 45 mins always alow pies to cook for longer so check it and then you may want to put it in for another 10 – 15 mins
  • Step 9:

  • 9. take pie out of the pie dish and leave to cool on a cooling rack for 10-15 mins
  • Step 10:

  • 10. put on plates and enjoy can be served with cream
