Beans And Mackerel Tomato Soup

Quick, Dirty Cheap and Healthy / Serves: 2 / Nutritional info: Healthy, high in protein.


  • beans
  • mackerel
  • tomato sauce
  • onion
  • rosemary
  • cayenne pepper


This is really easy, cheap and healthy!

* Roughly chop the onions and fry with the rosemary for 1-2 minutes.

* Add the kidney beans (drained of the water).

TIP: I prefer adding beans cooked in salty water, so I don't have to add any salt.

* Throw in the cayenne pepper powder, the Tomato sauce and the content of a tin of mackerel.

* Simmer for 5 minutes.

TIP: if you have it, serve this with chopped fresh parsley sprinkled on top.
