In a dish (big enough to dip the bread in) break the egg and whisk with a fork lightly
add a splash of milk and whisk until blended, add salt and pepper
heat a little oil in a fry pan
take one of the slices of bread and place in the egg mixture for a couple of seconds on each side
fry the bread until golden brown, do with each slice then serve with beans
