Buy yourself a toastie maker, then shove the ham/cheese/tomato between two slices of bread and cook it in said toastie maker. Nice.

Lol i hate my toaster.. Literally hate it.
you could try making a sandwhich then putting it in the microwave for 30 seconds (for the cheese to melt) then pan fry it on a pan with a little bit of butter. Taste like heaven. No lie.

It's even better if you butter the outsides of both slices of bread, and separate the filling into two diagonal portions to account for the design of the toaster. I like a bit of diced onionin there too!
