Quick Sausage & Bean Casserole

Frankfurter & Beans - Quick & Tasty



  • 1 tin of frankfurters or bockwurst
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tin kidney beans
  • 1 tin baked beans
  • 1 tin tomatoes
  • I add 1 tin or either borlotti / cannellini / aduki / flageolet beans
  • oil (for frying onion)
  • 1 pint water/stock (beef stock cube works well)
  • pepper
  • tsp mustard (optional)
  • shake of worcestershire sauce (optional)


Fry chopped onion in oil. Add beans, tomatoes, sausages and stir well, add stock and season well. Bring to boil, simmer for 10 mins - hey presto, hearty and warming, serve with chunky bread......

    I'm 56 now, I love it with a generous shake of Worcester sauce and French mustard, crusty bread. A cheap filling meal.

    Lool this is good but we didnae have kidney beans so we only used baked beanzz (good 4 the heart) and it was goooooood.
