Step 1:

  • fry onion beef and carrot until brown stirring continuously.
  • Step 2:

  • add remaining ingredients and stir well, leave to simmer for at least an hour or until most of the stock has disappeared.
  • Step 3:

  • meanwhile boil potatoes in salted water until soft. mash with butter and milk and set aside.
  • Step 4:

  • spoon into an ovenproof dish and top with mash potato.
  • Step 5:

  • put in a hot oven or grill until brown.
