Step 1:

  • 1. Place all ingredients except eggs and flour in a saucepan and gently bring to the boil. Boil for 5 minutes then take off the heat.

  • 2. Allow to cool for 15-20 minutes then beat in eggs and flour and mix until smooth.

  • 3. Grease two 1lb loaf tins and line with non-stick baking paper. Heat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.

  • 4. Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes until a skewer comes out clean.

  • 5. Leave to cool completely in tin.
