Where are my pickle-lovers at? This one is for you. Sonic has teamed up with Grillo’s Pickles to introduce a new ‘Big Dill’ meal. Sonic’s new limited-time meal is available right now at participating locations starting June 30th, 2025. Let’s take a look at what you’ll expect from this order.

Sonic’s new limited-time meal features three new items for only a limited time, including the Sonic and Grillo’s Pickles Big Dill Double or Triple Sonic Smasher, some Sonic and Grillo’s Pickles Seasoned Tots or Groovy fries, and the Sonic and Grillo’s Pickles Picklerita Slush.
The smashers feature a larger-than-life take on the beloved Double SONIC Smasher, featuring hand-smashed Angus beef. However, along with being topped with melty cheese, the sandwich includes dill pickle-seasoned crispy cucumbers, dilly ranch, Grillo’s Pickle Chips, and fresh lettuce, all on a soft potato bun.

The Picklerita is one that fans might be a bit nervous to try. It’s both sweet and tart, made with a blend of pickle juice and tart lime, with Pickle Juice Flavor Bubbles and topped with Grillo’s Pickle Chip.
On the side, you’ll have crispy, golden tots or groovy fries covered in that Grillo’s Pickle seasoning for a bright, tangy flavor twist that satisfies all cravings.
But that’s not all. Fans who purchase this pickle-heavy meal will also get a free pickle-scented car air freshener featuring the Grillo mascot while supplies last.
The collaboration also brings the mascot, Sam-Sam the Pickle Man, onto the Sonic packaging and special merch collection, including hats, tees, and a nugget ice maker, which also launches June 30th at LiveFreeShopSonic.com. Of course, the proceeds go to the SONIC Foundation to support public education, so no purchase should be considered a waste.
Vice President of Marketing and Strategy at SONIC, Barb Williams, speaks about this collaboration, saying, “Pickle-flavored many items are trending, but not all pickle meals are created equal. We’ve been innovating pickles since 2018, so pickles are kind of our thing.”
