1. put your water stock, mustard and pepper into a big sauce pan and bring to the boil 2. now add your cabbage and your carrots boil until both are tender
3. next add your chopped ham this will cook in seconds so keep an eye on it!
4 now taste it?? taste good? yes take it off the heat. still tasting a bit watered down? add another stock cube to it and stir till dissolved
5. now give it a good stir add some more pepper to taste
6. serve with some ciabatta or french bread
