- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for gravy)
- 2 cups milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the buttermilk until just combined. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently. Roll out to about 1-inch thick and cut into rounds.
- Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
