Step 1:
1. peel and chop the butternut squash into cubes Step 2:
2. peel and chop the onion Step 3:
3. chop the red pepper Step 4:
4. put all 3 ingredients into a biggish pan Step 5:
5. boil the kettle and pour hot water into a jug Step 6:
6. mix in the stock cubes and sprinkle as much chili powder as desired (salt and pepper to season) Step 7:
7. pour into the pan of ingredients and bring to boil Step 8:
8. let it simmer for about half an hour on a medium heat (or until butternut squash is soft) Step 9:
9. using a hand held blender, mix together to form a smooth thickish soup
