Sponge Cack

A sponge cake is a desert and a party treat, decorated with icing, and jam.yum!

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cup caster sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • strawberry jam (decoration)
  • 2/3 tbsp. Icing sugar
  • any icing (decoration)
  • if there is not enough, add the same amount of ingredients again.

Instructions

  1. . Preheat oven: 180

  2. . Lightly grease 2 round tins and then place a sheet of baking paper in it.

  3. . Mix all ingredients with a wooden spoon until well combined.

  4. . Bake for 18-20 mins in oven, ounce done let the cake cool for 5 mins.

  5. . Now to decorate! Using the strawberry jam, cover the top of one of the sponges. Place the other sponge on top and cover any type of icing on top and around the sides of the first and second cake.
