Stir Fry

for when there seems to be nothing in the fridge
Difficulty Level: easy
Ingredients
- Pasta/Noodles/Rice (i usualy use noodles)
- Veg of various sorts
- Usually i use onions, carrots, pepper, sweetcorn, green beans and leeks, but any veg can be used, including all those little pieces that never seem to be enough to do anything with!
- Any meat you like cut into smallish pieces
- Spices (whatever you have/fancy)
- Stir fry sauce (optional but reccommended)
Instructions
Cook the carbs in a seperate pan (can be done while preping or cooking the other ingrediants)
Cut up the veg and meat if using into small pieces (half rounds for carrots, thin circles for leeks etc) – you want it to cook quickly without burning
put a dollop of oil into a frying pan/wok and gently fry the harder veg – pepper, carrots etc. Add the meat and cook till done and slightly brown, adding garlic and whatever other spices.
add the other veg and cook gently, stirring continuously, then add the cooked carbs and stir fry sauce, still stirring so it all mixes together. Eat with sauce to your taste – my favourite is sweet chillie.
You can leave out the carbs and have them seperatly if thats what you prefer.
