Strawberry and Tequila Sorbet

A fruity sorbet with a kick

Ingredients

• 225g (8oz) strawberries
• 55g (2oz) caster sugar
• 85ml (3fl oz) tequila, or white rum if you prefer
• juice of 1 lime

Instructions

STEP 1:

1. Slice the strawberries into small pieces and remove the stalks.

STEP 2:

2. Cover the strawberries with the sugar, tequila and lime juice and leave covered overnight in the fridge.

STEP 3:

3. Purée the mixture with a blender or food processor and pour into a plastic container (old ice cream tubs are ideal.)

STEP 4:

4. Put the mixture in the freezer, returning to it every hour to mix with a whisk until the sorbet becomes firm.

STEP 5:

5. Serve with an extra dash of tequila and enjoy
