Ingredients

  • Sweet potato chopped into french fries
  • oil
  • chip pan or saucepan if your halls don’t allow chip pans

Instructions

  1. 1-chop the sweet potato/yams into french fry size-thickness

  2. 2- heat up the oil in the pan – wait until the oil has stopped "bubbling" and has gone "still" or "clear"

  3. 3- gently place the sweet potato fries into the pan – do this with a spoon – and do not drop them from a height, the hot oil will splash back and burn you

  4. 4- wait 2-3 minutes until the outside is golden then remove with a metal or wooden spoon (plastic will melt)
