Step 1:
Take your bread slice, carefully remove the center (and save it!), making sure the crust stays intact. Step 2:
place the crust in the pan, pressing slightly to make sure there are no gaps under the bread. Step 3:
crack your egg into the hole in the middle of the crust. Step 4:
break the yolk and fry for two minutes. Step 5:
flatten the center of the bread (you cut out earlier) Step 6:
(optional) top the egg with cheese Step 7:
place the flattened centre on top of the egg, and flip the entire slice. Step 8:
continue frying for another 2 minutes. Step 10:
eat on its own, or use as a layer in an easy, Step 11:
