Vanilla Buns

A famliy well known recipe and fairly easy to make

Ingredients

  • 8 oz/225g self-raising flour
  • 6 oz/170g caster sugar
  • 4 oz/110g margarine/unsalted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. 1.Cream the butter, add sugar and beat until light.

  2. 2.Add 1 egg and a bit of flour and beat then repeat and add the rest of the flour. If the mixture is too stiff add some milk or water.

  3. 3. Place around 1 and a half tsp of the mixture into each bun case and bake for around 10-15 mins or until golden brown.

  4. 4. Remove from the tray and allow to cool on a wire cooling rack.
