A cheap yummy curry that costs just pennies

  • 1 tin baked beans
  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes
  • Mustard seeds to taste
  • Chilli powder to taste
  • 1 glove garlic crushed

Chop the onions, mash the garlic and add to a frying pan with a drop of oil. Also add the chilli, herbs and spices (of your choice) in a pan with a drop of oil, and cook till soft.

Add tomatoes and cook for a few minutes.

Add baked beans and cook for a few more minutes till all cooked.

Im a carnivore but like to vary my kids and my diet and also like healthier and cheaper options where possible, this recipe is great but i did add some bell peppers and carrots and it tasted great. My kids loved it. Its similar to a cowboy beans recipe i use.

I quite liked this recipe. I added a lot of chilli powder to make it really spicy, because otherwise it tasted too much of tomato for my liking. I'd also like to point out that onions aren't listed in the ingredients. Overall, however, it was a really quick and easy recipe - and it really doesn't cost that much to get the ingredients. I'd give it 3/5.
