White sauce

Yummy with all types of pasta(and other dishes)

Ingredients

  • 40g butter/margarine
  • 40g plain flour
  • 500ml milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter/margarine in a saucepan, add the flour and cook, stirring until sandy in colour.

  2. Add the milk , whisking all the time. when the sauce is thick, add the salt and pepper.

  3. Simmer the sauce on a medium heat stirring regularly for 5 minutes then take off the heat.
