Ingredients

  • 230g chocolate – works better with dark
  • 230g butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 3 eggs

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat the oven to 170°c

  2. 2. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a bowl over a pan of simmering water

  3. 3. Once melted, take it off the heat and mix in the sugar and vanilla

  4. 4. Beat the eggs and mix them in next

  5. 5. Line a baking tray with foil and put in the mixture

  6. 6. Bake for half an hour – the top should be crackly and the middle should be sticky

  7. 7. Take them out and leave them to cool – the middle will harden up a bit

  8. 8. Cut into sections
