Ingredients

  • 4 tsp of flavoured Rooibos loose-leaf tea (I like Rooibos indian summer which has orange, honey, and berries in it).
  • 1 liter of boiling water
  • 1 liter of PLAIN carbonnated water (not flavoured with lemon like perrier)
  • Honey or 1/2 cup of sugar.

Instructions

  1. 1. Stick the carbonnated water in the freezer about 2 hours in advance.

  2. 2. Boil 1 liter of water. Pour into a bowl and add tea and sugar or honey. Let brew for 10 mins, stiring occasionally.

  3. 3. Place a large mesh sive over your pitcher and drain tea into pitcher, making sure you remove all the tea bits.

  4. 4. Haul out the cold carbonnated water and pour it in, stiring.

  5. 5. Plunk in the fridge for a good hour and let it cool, then serve.

  6. *Great for a party alternative to super sugary pops for the DDs…it’ll make them feel special too.

  7. **Use a pitcher that has a good sealed lid, or else the carbonnated water will go flat and then all you have is iced tea.

  8. ***Rooibos tea is naturally caffeine free and has a ton of anti-oxidants in it. So switch this out for your coke and it’s much healthier! It goes for about 5$ for 500grams…which will make you a good 20 picthers and it lasts for a year!
