Whenever something new is being tested across fast food restaurants, we like to know. This time, it’s Chick-fil-A that is running some secretive limited tests with two new sandwich builds. This increases to six options if you count the available variations.
Southern Living reported that the new sandwiches, which are only being tested in a few areas over the coming month, rolled out on February 2 and allegedly end on March 7, 2026.
The first of the two areas is Oklahoma City, which is getting an Avocado Sriracha BLT Sandwich. This new option is built on their Sriracha Swirl Toast, but topped with lettuce, tomato, seasoned avocado mash, and hardwood smoked bacon. It also comes with cayenne ranch on the side.
The second is central North Carolina, specifically the Piedmont Triad area, including Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point. In these areas, people can order a Sweet Chili Lime Crunch Sandwich. It comes on a toasted, buttered white bun with a Ginger Lime Cool Crunch topping made with cabbage, kale, and a ginger-lime dressing, plus sweet chili sauce.
I personally love these low-key menu tests, as it gives an idea of the inner workings of what’s being thought up at head offices.

Variation and crunch
Allrecipes reports that there are two sandwiches, each sold three ways: original, grilled, or with spicy chicken filets.
What’s interesting is that the Avocado Sriracha BLT comes on toast instead of a bun. The Sweet Chili Lime Crunch also comes on a toasted bun with crunchy slaw, so they both have a crunch.
It appears the Avocado Sriracha BLT has been tested before, after a brief run in Georgia back in November 2025. So this latest test may mean it’ll be a sandwich that hits menus in the future (why else keep testing it?).
Newsweek reported these tests fit into a bigger 2026 push, tied to the 80th anniversary and a yearlong “newstalgia” theme, with menu updates and collectible promos showing up in waves.
We covered the anniversary angle before, noting how the company is leaning hard into nostalgia, from new permanent float-style treats to limited collectible cups and prize messaging.

If you’re watching sugar or sodium
For anyone managing blood sugar, blood pressure, or cholesterol, these new menu tests can still fit, but you’ve got to steer the order.
- Pick grilled when you can. It’s usually the healthiest option.
- Treat sauces as optional, and have them on the side for dipping.
- Keep an eye on the add-ons, and skip fries or a sweet drink.
If you live in participating areas, consider calling first or checking order options via apps, because not every location in a test city always carries the item.
