How to Make Chicken Cutlets for Beginners

Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast
- 2 cups panko bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tbs milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
Instructions
Place chicken breasts onto a plastic cutting board and slice the breast one at a time longways through the middle to create 2 thinner cutlets
Take all of your sliced cutlets and pound them with a meat tenderizer until thin
Crack two eggs into a shallow bowl, add milk, salt, and pepper. Beat with a fork or whisk until combined
Pour panko breadcrumbs into a similar shallow bowl
Heat 1/4 cup of oil in a frying pan over medium heat
One at a time take each cutlet and coat it in the egg mixture
Then place the cutlet in the panko breadcrumbs and coat completely
Place the cutlets into the hot oil and cook each side for 3-4 minutes. Cook time may differ based on how thin or thick the cutlets are
Once cooked place the cutlets onto a plate with a paper towel to soak up access oil
Serve as is or as pictured here with a simple bruschetta
