McDonald’s is changing its McValue menu across the U.S., with the new offerings set to begin April 21 at participating locations. 

The updated menu gives customers a simpler list to work with, built around 10 items priced at under $3, plus a new $4 breakfast deal. 

According to McDonald’s, the refreshed McValue menu is meant to offer more choice without making people jump through hoops. The company said the new version builds on McValue’s 2025 launch and keeps the focus on what it calls “predictable everyday low prices,” which is a big shift from value offers that can feel tied to apps, bundles, or fine print. 

Most people want their fast-food without hassle and confusion. So, simplicity and value should be a big win for the company.

The McValue Menu

Breakfast appears to be doing a lot of the heavy lifting on this revamp. Morning choices on the under-$3 menu include a Sausage McMuffin, Sausage Biscuit, Sausage Burrito, Hash Browns, and a medium McCafé Premium Roast Coffee. 

Additionally, Fox Business reported that customers will be able to pick a Sausage McMuffin or Sausage Biscuit with hash browns and a small coffee for $4. 

Later in the day, the lineup shifts to items like a McChicken, McDouble, 4-piece Chicken McNuggets, small fries, and a medium soft drink. 

Lunch and dinner meal deals are available too, with McChicken options starting at $5 and McDouble meal deals at $6. 

The company also plans limited-time national offers on select items, starting with a $1.50 Sausage McMuffin and a $2.50 McDouble.

Why did the menu change?

The Los Angeles Times reported that McDonald’s made this move after hearing customers wanted better value in the morning and more flexibility overall. 

Additionally, this menu shift comes at a time when rivals are pushing hard on cheaper menus of their own, with Taco Bell, Wendy’s, and Panera all rolling out sharper value plays as diners stay sensitive to higher food prices.
